About Marine Profile
As our business gradually came to focus more on the maritime field, Marine Profile was established as a separate company in 1994. This is our story.
Our Story
Today, Marine Profile works primarily with some of the cruise industries’ world majors, companies that in our view have taken the lead in enhancing safety, leadership and focusing on human resources.
We also work with operators of speciality vessels and offshore facilities. We have experience in working with operators of container vessels, ferries, tankers, car carriers and tugboats, and from assessment of maritime pilots.
We began working with the maritime industry in the 1990s, and our first shipping client was a tanker company. We had been working since 1982, although under a different name, with leadership and assessment of managers for various shore-based industries such as the pharma, forest, chemical and manufacturing industries.
As our business gradually came to focus more on the maritime field, Marine Profile was established as a separate company in 1994.
Maritime soon became our most important business, our expertise was much needed, and we have found the sector to be an incredibly dynamic and exciting one to operate in.
Marine Profile has four co-owners: one sea captain (MD) and three maritime psychologists. For almost three decades, we have been working with shipowners from North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
