Master Mariner
After retiring from sea, Mr. Sandström worked at a major international Hull and P&I Club for some eight years. On a managerial level he handled all kinds of international casualty-related cases, both administratively and legally.
During this time he was a key figure in the Club’s loss prevention program, initiating Bridge Resource Management as well as representing the Club in different maritime organizations. He was also a lecturer at insurance and safety seminars around the world.
Later he built up and managed a major tanker owner’s subsidiary in Hong Kong for a couple of years, finally becoming an independent consultant to the maritime industry.
M.Sc., Maritime Psychologist
After taken a university degree in psychology, Mr. Anders Schager has since1982 been a partner and senior management consultant at Profil AB, a Swedish consultancy firm which mainly directs its services to the international shore-based industry.
Mr. Anders Schager has long been engaged in various projects concerning special assessment methods. He is mainly involved in management training and team-building projects as a senior consultant. He is also responsible for in-house research and development of methodologies, such as the Masterline Marine™.
M.Sc., Maritime Psychologist
After a period as a radio officer at sea, Mr. Bengt Schager took his university degree in psychology. Since 1982 he has been a partner and senior management consultant at Profil AB.
Mr. Bengt Schager is frequently engaged by the maritime industry as a consultant and lecturer on the human factor, leadership and organization. From time to time he has been asked to serve as an advisor on human behavior and the man/machine interface by the Swedish National Maritime Administration. He was also appointed as an expert on the human factor and organization in the Joint Swedish, Finnish, Estonian Accident Investigation Commission of the M/V Estonia.
